Forever Love

A soulmate is a connection so strong that you are drawn to your loved one in a way that you have never experienced before. As this connection develops over time you experience a love so deep, strong and complex that you begin to doubt that have ever truly loved before… -Unkown

This weekend Christy and I celebrated out own special moment together at our Indian Rocks Beach getaway Searenity Sands. On this special day, I revealed to Christy that I knew that God had brought us together, and that we have a love so special that only God could have made our togetherness a part of HIS plan. That God has so many more things in life for us both, and that I could not wait to experience the rest of my life with her to reveal God’s plan in our future.

I asked her to marry me!

It was a difficult day to keep the surprise from revealing itself to her. We were supposed to take Max to his baseball game in the morning (but I had to find a way to bail out so I could complete all the arrangements!). I had our friend Doug call me in the morning and ask to help him out with a flat tire not far from our place (who doesn’t have a jack?) so it enabled me and excuse to get away to pick up the flowers, champagne, and meet my sand sculpture artist to have him build my proposal sculpture right in front of our beach property. The only kink in the plan was not counting on Max’s game getting rained out halfway through the 4th inning! She was coming back early…

With the help of her parents, we had a quick diversion of lunch at Crabby Bills, where I ate slower than ever before to ensure by the time we got back from lunch that we only had enough time to work on a few things in the condo, and would all need to get ready for dinner plans later in the evening  -David, Chellie and Carter came over, and Kathy and Tobin as well (they were staying nearby) “Keep her off the beach!” Was the only thing I told everyone as my proposal plans rushed through my head, and the time drew closer. I wanted it to be a 100% perfect and memorable sunset proposal!

Once everyone was dressed for dinner, her sister Kathy suggested we all go down to take a nice family photo on the beach, where I walked Christy down first, and walked her to the sand sculpture, and got down on one knee to ask her the really important question I had for her…

She said yes…

And now we embark on our wedding plans, plans for our future, and to reveal God’s plan for us, as we share our love together and make many happy family memories at Searenity Sands for many years to come.

Needless to say, our home at Searenity Sands, and the beaches of Indian Rocks, are a forever part of our memory and a place that we share our love. This weekend was so special to us, and we stayed through Sunday (returning Thursday through Saturday) to spend some special time alone, away from family, and celebrating our love together.
