An Invitation From Our Friends

Longtime friends, are family that we choose… – Patrick Regan

So how about this: Our dear friends Melissa and Cliff asked to rent Searenity Sands for a few days mid January, and of course….we were happy to! After all, they are no strangers to the condo, and have been there several times. But here’s the kicker, they actually invited us down to join them for the weekend! Wait… What? Yes! They rented our place and invited us to join them to help celebrate Melissa’s birthday! How incredibly thoughtful of them and we were honored to take them up on it! Of course, we took our guest spot in the guest bedroom, which I personally find quite comfortable and quiet! What a weekend! Birthday celebrations seem to be a pretty common thing at the condo! It was a bit if a disappointment that there were elements of red tide present at the beach on Friday. There was a lot of sneezing going on, so we stayed mainly in the pool; however, Saturday seemed to be mostly cleared up…as well as Sunday. At the pool we met a number of amazing people who were also staying (guests at other units) at the complex, and gave some excellent recommendations for dinner – if you have not checked out some of our favorites, please see the “Things to Do” section of the website. Personally in a few weeks I am scheduled to go on a full-day excursion of fishing in the Gulf with Captain Tom Markham of “Simply Hooked” with a few friends. Can wait! And for the record… we ONLY endorse places we have actually been and truly enjoy!

This trip also gave us an opportunity to take inventory and re-stock some of the necessities for the condo as well… Paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, hand soaps, etc… Thank goodness for Costco! 🙂 We have a few surprises to add to some of our late summer guests (and all guests moving forward) but I don’t want to spoil the surprise quite yet! You’ll have to book a trip (or a return) to find out! We’ve been busy planning and working on additional ways to make our guests feel at home in our little slice of heaven! I also can’t wait to take some time off of Work . Christy and I will be returning for a week in July to celebrate Independence Day, and to spend quality time with family, friends, and neighbors. I am already working up a good BBQ plan of slow smoked brisket, pulled pork, baby back ribs, and some smoked chicken for a good ‘ole fashion beach party! See you soon Searentiy Sands!
