Working Remotely

“Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life…”Marc Anthony

So this whole Covid-19 remote working thing does have a few benefits – especially if you have a place at the beach. I can’t think of a more relaxing place to socially distance myself from my co-workers than from Searenity Sands! So, there we were Christy and I working at opposite ends of the dining room table with our squinted eyes and crinkled foreheads peeking over our laptops like we were two masterminds in an intense game of “battleship”. It was quite the interesting day of both of us being on endless conference calls one after another, but I think it gave us both the realization of how we get sucked into our daily lives at work and how we need to appreciate the things we have around us. This week also gave us a chance to get a few things done for our guests. One of which was adding our own locally handmade soap for our guests. A Mango/Lime soap from our friend Marcus Oliver who owns Savon Couture. This stuff is fantastic, light, summery, and refreshing! We hope you enjoy! This was one of two batches Marcus is custom making for us. If you like these products please feel free to contact him at marcus@savonecouture.com or on IG @savonecouturetpa. Christy loves his “Cream-sicle” scrubs as well. Please mention our condo and and get a discount from them as well!

One of the things I like most about working from Searenity Sands is the morning coffee Christy and I take on the balcony. It is nice to watch the sun come up on from behind us and light up the beach in front of us… I enjoy watching the sleepy town of IRB wake up around us, the joggers and bikers as they take to the beach – the occasional paddle board or kayak going by on the water. It is a calming moment before the day gets a hold of us and puts us into that work mindset…. At the end of the day we love heading down for the sunset where we look for the green light flash as the sun tucks away from the day. We often run into our new friends from the building next door whom we share a few laughs and cocktails at sunset before we pack it in for the night. We’re certainly blessed to be able to work from here when we can or get a few days between guests (we’re already booked up to November!) We will be back down for the 4th of July where we will be here all week! I can’t wait!!!
